Hey, it's been a minute. I am alive, much more so now that classes are done now for the semester. I still have a few take home finals to work on, but I can actually take the time to really get things done once I go home tomorrow.

I participated in the end of the semester activities, like the big concert the music school puts on. It's still one of my favorite traditions we have, and I'm sad this is my final year of going to see it. I'm glad to be a senior, but it's little moments like that where I wish things could last just a little bit longer.

One of my classes (comprising of all us upperclassmen in the composition department) also had a party this weekend to celebrate its end. It was a tough class, and the festivities were very much worth it. It was also the last time I get to see one of the new friends I made this semester, as he's graduating this weekend. I told him that it's required he comes to visit; I know many of us in the studio are gonna miss him.

I'm very excited to go home though. It's been a stressful semester. I wasn't as depressed as I was last year, but I had so much more work/responsibility and the work was really taking its toll on me. I still unfortunately have things to work on over break, but it'll hopefully be more maneagable in a less stressful environment.

Speaking of things to do over break, I have graduate school applications to work on. I am both nervous and excited about it. Nervous, because I want everything to look and sound as professional as possible. Excited, because it'll be a new chapter in my life. Yeah, it means that I'll have to get a job in about 3 years which'll probably suck ass, but I'll have more freedom to create my own space and cook my own meals and live my own life. It's good for your brain to look forward to new things, even if being an adult living in society is hard. If you have enough hope for the future, you can overcome any obstacle in your way.

Christmas is coming soon, so is the my sister's due date. That means lots of traveling for my family. I hope to hang out with some of my friends both at home and at school until the spring semester starts, but we'll just have to wait and see.

It's gonna be an eventful winter break for sure.
